This programme is for those who wish to walk the sacred path of working through Yoga and Ayurveda Medicine. This is a journey that cultivates an experience and understanding of your own sacredness and offers you profound personal development. It is a journey that helps you to access and develop your own intuitive wisdom.
This unusual development programme offers studies and practice in Yoga, Ayurveda, healing methodologies, models of consciousness and much more. With everything you need online, supported by attendance weekends, retreats and ongoing mentoring, students will follow a path towards a profound personal practice and becoming a unique teacher and healer.

Accreditation
The Soma Medicine Yoga and Ayurveda programme goes beyond any expectations you might have. Graduates will be eligible to gain insurance as a qualified Yoga and Ayurveda Teacher and be listed in a register at 300 Hours. Registering with an approved Organisation, together with certification through Soma Medicine Yoga and Ayurveda School, gives you everything you need to teach Yoga and Ayurveda and work confidently as a therapeutic practitioner. This training is about the embodiment of the principles involved. The true essence of yoga is the ongoing exploration and quest for unity.
The Modules
Module 1 – The Sacred Marriage of Sun and Moon. Experience flow states through Sun and Moon salutations. The secrets of Asana. The connection between movement and breath. Creating journeys through voice, language and music. Delivery skills for a variety of students. Teaching and assisting.
Module 2 – 5 Elements in Yoga and Ayurveda.
Module 3 – Anatomy and Physiology – learning about the body through understanding, experience and Thai Yoga Massage.
Module 4 – Introduction to Ayurveda
Module 5 – Energy of Embodiment – Chakras, Light Bodies, Koshas. Breathwork.
Module 6 – Cosmic Maps – Texts, Wisdom Traditions, Cosmology, Philosophy.
Module 7 – Kriya Yoga
Module 8 – Laya Yoga – Mind, Meditation, Deep Relaxation, Nidra.
Module 9 – The Nervous System, Trauma. Trauma-informed Yoga.

Where does the training take place?
We are following a hybrid in person/online model. Attendance options will be offered as retreats or weekends.
What if I already have a yoga teaching qualification?
We welcome the participation of already qualified teachers and celebrate what you will bring. You will find this programme deepens and expands what you already have. We will take you deeper and further along your journey…
Are there any hidden costs?
In addition to the cost of the training you will need to find accommodation, food and travel for attendance modules. The cost of a first aid qualification needed for full accreditation will be yours as will membership of YAP and insurance. You should also expect to be tempted by a few books, you might want a blanket and eye pillow and other bits and bobs along the way.
